Chloe Jacobs '10: From Corporate Life to Full-Time Adventure

After graduating from McGill University in 2014, Chloe followed the traditional path—great job, great life—working as a Program Manager at Amazon. But despite checking all the boxes, she found herself daydreaming of a life filled with adventure and purpose.

With zero backpacking experience, Chloe took a leap and thru-hiked the 4,200 km Pacific Crest Trail from Mexico to Canada. Carrying only the essentials, hiking every day, and sleeping under the stars was the most fulfilling experience of her life. This journey inspired her to quit her corporate job, move out of her home in France, and travel full-time.

Now, Chloe helps aspiring adventurers break free from daydreaming and take bold steps toward the outdoors through her coaching business. She also teaches yoga and mindfulness to help clients build confidence and resilience. “It’s incredibly rewarding to combine my love for travel and the outdoors while guiding others toward a more fulfilling life,” says Chloe.

This May, Chloe will co-host a luxury retreat in Costa Blanca, Spain—a restorative experience blending movement, mindfulness, and connection in a stunning Mediterranean setting. Follow her adventures on Instagram at _itsmechickpea, and learn more at chloejanejacobs.com/retreats.
